Past Hands-On Lecture Series

During the spring semesters of 2017 and 2018, the Science Research Mentoring Program hosted a hands-on astronomy lecture series at the Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, in collaboration with the school's Aerospace Engineering & Astronomy Club. The lecture series featured astrophysicists from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Each activity was divided over two weeks. During the first week, students were asked to read and discuss background material in preparation for the second week's activity. The speaker visited the school on the second week and led a combined lecture and hands-on activity.
